Introductions

Reports

- Recycling brochures have been printed. Charlotte got a $250 donation from the Skagway ATIA for printing. $23 was spent for printing on recycled paper from Whitehorse by Jolene. 200 copies were printed in Black & White. More will be printed at a later date. It was suggested to post the brochure in public places. (Camper park, hardware store, grocery store, communal housing, etc.)

- Shelby will need to update us about the Student Government meeting at the next SEEES meet.

- Spring Stroll: Possibly no spring stroll this year. The Chamber is cutting their budget. Anna said the committee is on hold. Charlotte said it might be May 15th.

- Garden Club is planting seeds, building flats and planning the construction of the garden shed at the community garden. $400 has been donated towards the grow light at the school.

Correspondence
- Stephanie Scott emailed SEEES asking for someone to talk with her on KHNS on Monday. She also suggested a farmer’s market. Stephanie didn’t have much to say about the possibility of visiting us in Skagway. A teleconference was suggested by Dorothy.
- Our letterhead is needed from Alicia for correspondence purposes.

Old Business

- SEEES to join and create an Assembly Committee. The pros and cons were discussed about being an Advisory Committee or a Borough Committee. The dynamics of the group would change. It was suggested to correspond with Mike about what we should do. Charlotte will write a letter to the Mayor and Assembly inviting them to our meetings and asking to post at city areas. Charlotte will post the letter on the blog for approval. Make comments by Thursday.

New Business

- Dorothy would like to ask for a composting and recycling site at the south end at Seven Pastures. She would like to approach them carefully, with all of our organizational information in order. Composting of grass is already happening out there. Sunday April 26th will be a meeting for recycling committee at the library at 3pm.
- Post S.E.E.E.S. to website (Sustainable Environment, Energy, Economy in Skagway)
- Assembly meetings will be reported at our meetings. Anna will do it at the next SEES meeting.
- KHNS Energy Talk at 8:45am on April 27th with Stephanie. Tim volunteered to speak with them.
